Departmental reviews
The purpose of the departmental review is to assess departmental progress over the preceding five years and to set a direction for the next five years that will enhance the department's ability to meet its academic and service missions. It is also utilized for a comprehensive review of the Chair's performance.
The Dean initiates departmental reviews the year prior to the contract renewal date of the Chair. The review is expected to (a) provide input to the Dean's decision regarding the chair's contract renewal and (b) provide general direction and goals for the department.
